Peachy, Peach Peach

Yesterday, on the way home we stopped to pick peaches at a local orchard. I noticed that the branches were hanging to the ground the other day and suggested that we go by there one day. Good thing that we went yesterday because the girl at the orchard told us that they would only last a few weeks longer.

$6 basket of peaches. This filled up 2 Walmart shopping bags

The lady at the orchard was apologizing to us because the peaches weren't that big this year. I couldn't really tell any difference but evidently the mild winter and late frost had contributed to the smaller size this year. They are sooooo incredibly sweet, even though they are crisp and small. Yum!

This morning Nathan suggested blueberry waffles for breakfast so I made those for him and added peaches on top. They turned out great! I topped mine with a dollop of Greek Yogurt. Nathan also requested eggs with peppers so as you can imagine, we had quite the breakfast.

the leftovers.
A mix of sweet and hot peppers is a good and favorite addition of ours to any egg dish.
Up next, peach ice cream! :)
